Canada_USA - 2019
After many years of saying "We should visit the east coast of Canada in the fall to experience the autumn colours", we finally decided to make the trip. We spent many weeks planning our trip, and finally loaded up our RV and headed east.
Our first stop will be Winnipeg, where Brenda grew up. We'll spend a few days with her best friend since childhood - Mira and husband John. Eventually we will meet my brother Doug and wife Marlene as we continue east.
This will be the first trip we have ever taken where we don't have a specific deadline to return home - no return flights booked and no return to work required. Ah, the joys of retirement! We may be home by late September, or if we are not homesick by then we'll travel south along the US east cost and then west - depending on roads and weather.

Arizona 2022
UPDATE: As a number of our friends commented, our daily updates slowed down by mid-February, and then completely ended by February 20. It was at this time during our trip that we came to the conclusion we were no longer on vacation. For the next few weeks we began looking for our future winter home - becoming snowbirds. Our week in Ajo was a trial to see if we enjoyed the area and could see ourselves spending our winter months there. After Ajo, we spent a week in Wellton, AZ and then another week in Yuma, AZ. From there we began a slow trip home, visiting a number of areas along the way, but forgoing our trip to Oregon because of the rapid increase in gasoline prices. END UPDATE
Two years of restricted travel due to COVID-19 was enough. It was time to stretch our legs. Even though the pandemic is not officially declared over, we decided that we were tired of being hermits at home in sub-freezing temperatures. It would be a lot easier to find a secluded spot in our motorhome in the warm winter weather of Arizona.
