We departed our tiny little campsite in Columbus and continued our journey westward. We headed west on Interstate 70 heading for Indianapolis Indiana. It was an uneventful and unremarkable trip. I think the only highlight I saw was the Lucas oil stadium in Indianapolis which is home to the NFL Colts. Otherwise our trip progress smoothly and without any problems. We set a goal of reaching somewhere between Champaign and Peoria. In the end we reached a small town called Carlock and found a campground - Kamp Komfort - just a short distance from town. When we looked up the instructions for finding the campground we thought it would be ideally situated since we had to drive about 4 kilometers off the interstate. Unfortunately after we have traveled 4 km we wound up driving back over top of the interstate and found the park situated right beside the highway. And then we noticed on the other side of the campground was a set of railroad tracks. Because it was getting late we decided to go ahead and stay in the campground but neither of us slept well because of the noisy interstate that was less than a hundred yards away from our trailer. The only buffer was a small grove of trees.

It was a beautiful little campground, well cared for but very poorly situated between the tracks and highway
